
Corowa Rowing Club held the annual Santa Regatta on the river with crews from Yarrawonga ,Rutherglen and Corowa competing.
There were 14 events allowing all levels of rowers the opportunity to compete with many entered in their first regatta.
The youngest entries competed in the Quad scull with the crew from Rutherglen rowing a controlled race to take out first place, Jayden, Matthew, James, Jake cox Isaac.
Corowa took out the double scull with Brayden Harris and Trent Brown with Trent backing it up to take out the single scull.
In the junior scull Rutherglen sculler Isaac led all the way to take out the event.
Corowa took out the quad scull in the open event with Andrew MacDonald, Bradley Pearsall, Dale Moretto, Brayden Harris cox Trent too strong for the Yarrawonga composite.
Jack Delaney teamed with Andrew to take out the double scull with Andrew taking out the single scull.
The first of the female events was the quad scull with the 2 Corowa crews in for a tight race, in a close finish Megan Vogel,Georgina Pearsall,Sarah Hughes,Georgia King cox Aiden won by a length.
The next races were the double sculls with Julia Delaney and Hannah Glenn rowing the straightest course to take out the win.
The open class saw Julia team up with Julie Underwood to take the early lead and hold onto claim first place.
The mixed event was a all Corowa race with John Raschke, Cherie Collins, Ding Eyers, Hannah Glenn cox Taylor Lambert claiming first place.
In the Open scull there were 3 Corowa scullers lined with Matt Vogel taking the early lead to hold of the fast finishing Bradley Pearsall.
